Natural ventilation in high-rise office building – Comfort and energy performance

چکیده

Abstract The application of natural ventilation strategies in high-rise office buildings is considered one the most promising trends to address high energy performance and enhance indoor thermal comfort levels interior spaces. In this regard, study attempts assess potential a specific, previously investigated, envelope design building located temperate climate zone. Different summer approaches were tested using simulation program IDA ICE 4.8, evaluating demand. findings indicated that considerable savings can be achieved, compared conventional mechanical air conditioning systems.
